WELCOMING NEW TELEHEALTH CLIENTS!
I provide online psychotherapy with NEST Harm Reduction & Consulting, and Sessions Counseling Group, in Southern California.
I've worked in community health, political non-profits, freelance photography, festivals and events, theater, and corporate admin.
I am:
This form of psychotherapy explores how your past effects your present - and teaches you how to change that.
I can see what you can't - and my job is to bring these hidden forces to your awareness, so you can make changes where possible.
From a German word for "form" or "shape"; the principle that we are comprised of different "parts" of ourselves - and the idea that the fragmentation and disregard of these parts is what leads to depression and anxiety. Through psychotherapy, you'll integrate each of these parts so you can live more authentically and with agency.
I will help enhance your self-awareness, so you can make more informed, more authentic choices in your life - at work, at home, and the world beyond.
I'm a LGBT affirmative therapist, trained in LGBTQ+ issues, and am myself a gay-identified cis-gender male. I've worked with LGBT political activist and outreach groups, and have experience working with clients across the gender and sexual spectrum.
I was formally trained in sociological science at CSU Dominguez Hills, a minority-majority school, specializing in medicine, education, and the impacts of globalization. I am myself a multi-racial person, and I bring both training and lived experience to the session space.
Plainly put, I'm a humanistic therapist - I see and accept all my clients, wherever they are in life, however they show up, whenever they show up.
Some therapists and counseling centers create an agenda and treatment plan by which you must comply. Instead, I work with clients to create a path forward that fits their needs, especially tuned to their unique needs and concerns.
I accept and honor every client's choices and ownership of their lives - and I help my clients mitigate and control for these risks, regardless of what those risks are.
Identifying and dismantling systems of oppression and mitigating their painful consequences were foundational to my educational and clinical-professional training. I seek to learn beyond my own lived experience and lean into anti-oppressive discourse, restorative education, and socially equitable healing.
